Taqman Probes

Monoquenched Taqman Probes (MTP)

Probes with different fluorophores in 5’ covering the entire visible spectrum from FAM (λ= 525nm) to CY5.5 (λ= 705nm) and quenchers in 3’ (BHQ, Dabcyl, Eclipse, BBQ,…..). RP-HLPC purified with a wide variety of size and format.

Minor Groove Binder (MGB) probes

Double stranded (lgDNA) from 500bp to 5000bp (not yet available).

BioLocked Probes (BLP)

Probes containing LNA bases, specifically design to differentiate SNPs (single nucleotide polymorphism). BioSynProbes provides these probes with FAM, HEX, ROX and CY5 fluorophores and BHQ-1 and BHQ-2 quenchers. That allows the right identification of different SNPs by bonding with the LNA bases. These probes improve the bond between the target sequence increasing the hybridization melt temperature.

Doublequenched Taqman Probes (DTP)

Probes with a wide variety of fluorophores in 5’covering the entire spectrum visible from FAM (λ= 525nm) to CY5.5 (λ= 705nm) and quenchers in 3’ (BHQ, Dabcyl, Eclipse, BBQ,…..) and another one in an internal position. This reduces basal fluorescence therefore enhancing the overall final fluorescence. RP-HPLC purified. Available in a wide variety of sizes and formats. Ideal for multiplexing systems.

Hybridization Probes

Molecular beacons (MB) probes

Hybridization MB type probes with FAM, HEX, ROX and CY5 fluorophores and BHQ, Dabcyl, Eclipse, BBQ as quenchers. RP-HPLC purified in different sizes and formats. In the initial stage, the fluorophore and the quencher are close through a “stem” sequence, when the probe hybridizes with the target sequence the fluorophore and the quencher get apart thus producing a change in fluorescence.

Scorpions (S) probes

Hybridation probes with fluorophores FAM, HEX, ROX and CY5 and BHQ, Dabcyl, Eclipse, BBQ quenchers. RP-HPLC purified in different sizes and formats. As MB probes, the fluorophore and the quencher are close through a “stem” sequence, when the probe hybridizes with the target sequence the fluorophore and the quencher get apart thus producing a change in fluorescence. In the case of Scorpion probes, the probe contains the forward primer, therefore enchancing specificity and reducing primer-dimer formation.
